JADAVPUR UNIVERSITY, KOLKATA ADMISSION DETAILS 2018

Jadavpur University is a public state university located in Kolkata, West Bengal. It has two campuses, the main campus at Jadavpur and the new campus at Salt Lake. It was upgraded to a full-fledged university in 1955. The University has its origin in the erstwhile National Council of Education. Jadavpur University has been ranked within Top 10 Indian Research Institutions as per report of International Comparative Performance of India’s Research Base.

The University offers UG, PG, and research courses in a variety of disciplines. The application form for the majority of UG and PG courses is made available on the university website and the admission to most of the courses is done around July.  

The admission to the technical courses is through different Entrance Tests and for the rest of them it is based on merit. The University follows reservation policy of the state of West Bengal which is available only to candidates who are domiciled in West Bengal.

There is a single entrance test (WBJEE) for the above-mentioned programs. The exam would be based on class XI, XII Syllabus. There will be two papers.
