Once clearing the JEE MAIN exam, a candidate becomes qualified to appear the JEE Advanced Exam. It is conducted for 23 reputed IITs in India. The berth is 10,000 seats. This exam is believed to be one of the toughest engineering entrance examinations in the country.
VITEEE (Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination) is for 5,000 seats. The seats are for VIT Chennai and VIT Vellore. It is one of the best private engineering institutes in India. The required percentage is 60% and 50% for backward classes.
The engineering courses for BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test) is for seats in Pilani, Hyderabad, and Goa. Just like JEE Advanced, it is also one of the toughest engineering entrance exams in India. Candidates having 75% marks in their 12th are eligible to apply. In the year 2016, BITSAT started a new policy, candidates who secured top rank in their respective board exams were given direct placement irrespective of their BITSAT performance.
The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHTCET) is held for various engineering colleges in Maharashtra. It is held in two phases and is conducted twice a year. Here the required percentage is 50 and for backward classes, it is 45. Seat placement is done after how much score did the candidate secured.
