Entrance Exam
B.Tech admission in Bihar is done through JEE Main and BCECE. IITs and NITs only accept the scores of JEE Main 2017 for providing admission. Admission in other top colleges of Bihar is also done through Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE 2017). To appear the entrance test, students need to fill the application form of respective entrance exam.

B.Tech aspirants are required to score good marks in entrance test. Candidates those get good rank in JEE Main 2017 will be eligible for admission to top engineering colleges in Bihar. The basic eligibility that must be fulfilled by the candidates for B.Tech admission is as follows:

The minimum qualification required for applying for B.Tech course is 10+2 passed with PCM subjects.
Candidates are required to score minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects to be eligible for JEE Main.
Candidates appearing 12th or equivalent exam are also eligible to apply.
There are only 3 attempts for appearing JEE Main.
Those applying for BCECE need to meet the Bihar domicile requirements.
Selection Procedure
To be eligible for B.Tech admission, it is must for the candidates to appear and pass the entrance examination with cut-off marks. Qualified candidates can appear the counselling process where they can fill the choices for the college and branch. The online counselling for JEE Main is conducted by the CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) and JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority). Seat will allotted as per the candidate’s rank in entrance test.
